Moms need a special type of work-from-home jobs because they have to juggle between their kids, household work, and online jobs.
The following work-at-home jobs are what I consider to be perfect online jobs for stay-at-home moms. But there are no rules saying that these are the only work-from-home jobs for moms. You can try other online jobs listed here below as well.
The same applies to those who aren’t moms. These jobs classified under stay-at-home mom jobs shouldn’t be taken strictly as at-home jobs for moms only. Anyone can try these out.
1) Facebook/Instagram Sponsored Ads Reviewer
Did you know that you can make money by giving your feedback on Facebook-sponsored ads? Did you know that you can also make money by reviewing sponsored ads on Instagram?
All that you have to do is to open your Facebook or Instagram app and then keep your personal opinion on the sponsored ads that you see on your Facebook / Instagram feed.
And just for doing that you’d be paid around $13 per hour by Facebook.
Open your Facebook or Instagram app, you will see sponsored ads like the one shown below –
So in this job, all that you have to do is to give your personal opinion on how relevant, useful, interesting, upsetting-offensive, disturbing, etc the ad is and get paid for it.

You may be like what? Help Google? Come on it’s not possible.
Well, turns out Google uses external raters to help refine its own algorithm. I am not asking you to believe me when I say this.

So Google, despite it being the king of the internet and despite dominating 70% of the search traffic, still has its own flaws that it constantly works on to improve.
And to do that, it uses external raters who uses Google regularly to help improve its algorithm (indirectly).
They are given a set of guidelines which you need to follow and use it to rate/evaluate websites as high or low quality and also rate how useful a result is to a certain query.
They are known by various names such as – search engine evaluators, internet analyst, Google Raters, raters, and so on.
Is this a highly technical job?
Sounds technical. But it isn’t.
Anybody with an internet access, smartphone and a PC/Mac/Chromebook can do this job. This job is extremely suitable for stay at home moms, students, disableds and introverts like me.
Where do they hire from?
From anywhere in the world where Google operates.
Notable exceptions are – Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, most African countries.
Do I need to be good with English?
If Google operates in your country in English language, then yes.
If not, then you have to good in your mother tongue in which Google operates.
Supposing if you are from Spain, where Google operates in Spanish language, you will have to have good written and comprehension skills in Spanish, not English.
In case of India, Google operates in multiple languages, hence there are openings for multiple regional languages in India.

Blogging is by far the most rewarding and most fulfilling in the long run. It is not easy in the beginning, but with time and effort and by making the right investment in yourself ( meaning by educating yourself), you can make thousands of dollars per month.

Every company has an affiliate program. Be it Amazon, Flipkart, eBay, Shopify, you name it. Everything has an affiliate program.
Just go to the bottom of their websites and you would see something like – Affiliate, Be an Affiliate.
What they are looking for is people like me who has got a blog or an audience. And all that I got to do is to write about things that I use daily or love, and link to to their website. If somebody clicks on that link, purchases a product via that link, those company make a sale and I get a commission.
Let me give you another example.
This website is hosted on Siteground. To create a website and put it up online, we need it hosted somewhere – that’s where we use hosting companies. Siteground is one such hosting company.
So when I recommend Siteground and when people purchases a hosting plan with Siteground via my link, I get paid
- $50 / sale for 1-5 sales /month
- $75 / sale for 6-10 sales/month
- $100 / sale for 11+ sales

And here is one secret that I am about to let out to you. Ssshhhhh !
Not all affiliate programs costs money. I mean, there are some affiliate programs where your readers don’t have to spend a dime.
I get $25 per qualified referral to Appen. It doesn’t cost my readers a dime. It in fact benefits them. I also get another $25 from Payoneer, every time my referrals in Appen are paid $1000 to their Payoneer account. They also get paid $25 as sign up bonus via my link.
There are some companies that will pay you, up to $7.4 per email of your reader. You may be like what??
Why do you think so many well-known bloggers promote survey sites? These bloggers do not personally do any survey jobs. All that these bloggers do is to tell people to work in these survey sites and they in return get paid up to $7.4 per email of their users by these survey companies.
The reader only has to sign up for these companies via affiliate links placed in your website/ blog and you will get paid up to $7.4 for their emails. And why wouldn’t they sign up when they come make money with these companies by simply signing up and taking some surveys? They would.
Imagine getting 100,000 visitors per month to your website and 100 of them signing up with their emails to these companies. You get a cool $740 per month with that single affiliate program alone ! I am not even getting started about other affiliate programs on hosting, affiliate courses, themes, opt-in tools and so on.

6) Sell on Etsy
Good with sewing, hand crafts? Good with designing postcards, printables, blog planners, Pinterest pins?
Then you can sell it on Etsy.

Remember you can sell anything and everything. One downside of Etsy is that, sellers are responsible for shipping the products.

There is a US based fulfilment company called Printful. What it does is that, you design your products like T-Shirts, Hoodies, mugs and others in Printful and then you sell that across various platforms like Shopify, eBay, Etsy and so on.
You can use applications like PicMonkey(free trial) to design your products even if you have no prior Photoshop experience.
The best part about Printful is that, the products are white labelled meaning, it doesn’t contain any logo or branding. You can use your own logo or branding.

7) Dropshipping via Shopify
Dropshipping via Shopify is a little different then selling via Etsy.
You can follow the exact same steps as above and sell your products that are designed in Printful using applications like PicMonkey.
Or you can go to AliExpress and pick some cheap products and sell it on a huge margin.
AliExpress will take care of shipping and fulfillment.

Are you a grammar nazi? Do you have hawk’s eye detecting typos, punctuation errors and more?
You could be a proofreader then.

As a virtual assistant, your job would be to manage content creation, content marketing, social media management, Pinterest account management and so on.

Amazon is the world’s largest e-commerce market place at the moment. You can literally reach anyone in the world through it.
The good thing about it is that, anyone can sell anything via Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA). What it is, is that, you find cheap products online or in thrift stores and sell it in a higher markup in Amazon.
All that you have to do is to ship to the nearest Amazon Fulfillment Centers, list the product in Amazon market place and they take care of the rest – shipping, transaction and everything.

Supposing you are a brand right, and your customers aren’t happy. And they rant out their displeasure online. If it is not immediately resolved, it leads to negative publicity, damage of brand image and loss of customers/revenue. That’s where online moderators comes in to play.
Since big corporations operates everywhere in the world, they need moderators in every language and in every countries.
This position therefore is a worldwide position.

Transcription work is a great stay at home job. The best part about transcription companies is that they hire worldwide and they even hires beginners. Top earners makes up to $2000+ per month.

Do you have a quiet place/room at your home? Do you have a knack for dealing with customers, upselling to them and making them happy with your sweet voice? Do you like talking on the phone?
Well, if that is the case, customer service work from home may be an ideal fit for you then.

- Quiet place/private room.
- A corded telephone.
- Dedicated landline with telephone connection.
- A computer with a wired connection to the internet.
- Most of these companies require that you are US resident.
- Some of them may require that you have experience working in an allied field.

- Kelly Connect – This company pays $14 – $17 per hour for work at home call center agents. During your training period, you will be paid $12 – $14 per hour. You also get a one-time bonus of $500 once you complete the training. They look for detail oriented, punctual, self-motivated, at least a high school diploma (graduates preferred) and minimum 6 months of prior customer service experience. 18) Chat Agents
Not comfortable with phone jobs? How about non-phone chat positions from home? There are dozens of companies that hires chat agents to work from home.
If you don’t have a quiet place to work from home, then working as chat agent from home could be a better option for you. And specially if you are a mommy, this stay at home mom job could be a better option for you.
The role of a chat agent varies – you might have to deal with customer service, invoicing, sales, online tutorials or technical support.

And once published, it can be a constant source of income month after month.
Even if you are not an expert at any field, can read about it online, sift through all the details and compile it in an easy to read manner.
Everything is online already, it is the time that people don’t have. And they would appreciate it if you would compile all the info about a certain topic and give them in an easy to read manner.

If you see texts below TV shows or movies, you know that it is done by captioners. This is another stay at home job ideal for anyone.
Captioning can be of two types –
- Offline captioning – Captioning of pre-recorded video files.
- Real-live captioning – Captioning of real live shows or events.
Real-live captioning requires you to have very fast typing speed and an associated degree. Offline captioning doesn’t have such requirements.
Where Can I Start?
These companies hires captioners from all over the world. They might have a qualification test though.
Rev – This company hires beginners with no experience as well.
Aberdeen – This company hires real time live captioners. You need to have an experience captioning with a typing speed of 180-200 words per min.
How much money can I earn captioning?
If you are an offline captioner, you can make like $0.40 – $0.75 per video minute. Real time captioners makes over $100,000 a year.
21) Online Map Analyst
This is another stay at home job where you are supposed to do mapping related work for one of the top 100 MNCs of the world.
It is nothing complicated or techie. You just have to do follow the guideline and do as told.

There would be a two part qualification test based on the Guideline that you would be given. You would have 7 days to complete the test. It is a tough exam, so be prepared to grind really hard.

You are paid up to $13.5 per hour. It depends on the location of your country though. It is a part time position where you are limited to 20 hours per week.
22) Become a Travel Agent
This is another great stay at home job where you help clients plan their travel and book holiday packages.
You get your clients discounted rates for their holiday packages while you earn commissions for each booking along with perks such as – discounted holiday packages for yourself and your family, even a free holiday package!
So both you and your clients are happy.
