This company only hires native English speakers from America and Canada.

You would be responsible for teaching one of the 500,000+ students spread over 200+ cities. Students age ranges from 4 to 12 years old. The good thing about this company is that you don’t have to handle 4 or 5 students in one session, you will be handling only one student per session.

This is the most recommended company to work for if you want to teach English to Chinese and Asian kids to make money from home and be compensated well.

It is not without a reason that this company tops the list of 100 remote companies to work for by Forbes.

Pay Rate:  $14 – $22/ hr

You will be paid  via direct bank transfer between 10th and 15th of every month.

Eligibility

  • You have to be a native American or Canadian citizen.
  • You need to have at least a bachelor’s degree. It  is a mandatory requirement.

Technical Requirements

  • You need a PC or Mac with HD webcam.
  • Headset with microphone.
  • A stable internet connection.

Application Process

After you applied to be a teacher with them you will have to have an interview with one of their recruiters, give a demo lesson. There will also be a background check done.

This is another well known company along with VIP kids. Unlike VIP Kids, this company hires native English speakers from UK and Australia as well.not just Americans and Canadians.

This company was founded in 2013 and is based in China. As a teacher even have a one on one session with students. Each session last 30 minutes. They need a minimum of at least 10 hours commitment per month.

They are partners of Pearson Education, McGraw-Hill Education, Oxford University Press, National Geographic Learning, Highlights, and many other prestigious publishers and learning centers.

Pay rate: $25/hr

The claim to pay $25/hr  but it all depends on your interview, demonstration and ratings. You’ll be paid on the 15th of each month via bank transfer.

  • At least a bachelor’s degree.
  • Teaching certificate like (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA).

They didn’t require any Bachelor’s degree or experience before, but now they do.

Any optional experience such as coaching, mentoring, or a passion for teaching is an added advantage while working in this company.

Pay Rate : $16 – $20/hr

They pay via bank transfer before 15th of every month. They pay in American Dollars not in Canadian dollars which is good for Canadians.

  • Earned a bachelor’s degree or above.

They only hire native American and Canadian citizens.

The good thing about them is that you don’t have to prepare the curriculum, it is already being prepared by them and you don’t have to communicate with the parents.

You’ll be teaching Chinese kids between 5 to 12 years old.

Each session lasts up to 25 minutes

Pay rate

The pay rate is between $16-12/ hour.

Eligibility

  • You must be a native English speaker of Canada or USA.
  • You need to have at least a bachelor’s degree or ESL certificate.
  • At least two years of teaching experience.

Unlike other companies this company does not require any teaching experience whatsoever. In this company you will be teaching adults from Russia, Saudi Arabia and chatting with them and helping them to learn and speak English.

When you enroll as a teacher in their platform,  when a student wants to talk to you, it will give you a beep in your computer and you can either decide to take the call or you can ignore it.

This company is perfect for people who does not have a degree or experience but is a native English speaker.

They have been featured by Forbes and Techcrunch among others.


Pay rate – $10.2/hr

They pay $10.2 / hour.  They will pay you every Monday via PayPal.

Eligibility

They don’t really mention the eligibility requirements. Their website does not say anything about what they are looking for.

I think it’s because of the fact that you will be teaching the others speak better English.  You are not being responsible for teaching kids between age 4 to 12.

People come to this platform to improve their English, so most likely they are adults in countries where English is not their first language. And your job  would be to just be a phone-buddy basically.

If you are a native English speaker with a bilingual capability, you will have high demands here.

It is not clear how much they pay. It seems to be around $15/hr.

  • Business and/or corporate experience.
  • Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing — grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.)

They also need a minimum of one year teaching experience .

Students ranges from preschool kids to adult professionals from all over the world who are wishing to improve their English skills

And they also provide access to teaching materials before every session. The pay rate is the is the base rate + performance, the performance bonus is determined by the ratings given by the students.

One of the downside of this company is that you might have to devote 10 hours plus during peak hours and also work during weekends..

Each Session could last update 45 minutes.



Pay rate – Negotiable

You can negotiate your own rate with the company. The rate could also depend on the place where you live.
